About Me & My Mission Statement

A Little About Me:
Hi there!  My name is Mary and was born and raised in Houston, Texas.  I am 40 something years old and consider myself to be a simple lady.  I am embarrassingly casual and down to earth. And I have many days where I love to dress up for work and play.  I love historical sites, I hope to travel to Europe one day, I am a proud Texan, I am remarried and we each have grown children of our own that we love dearly, I am a proud grandma, and I love watching the The Fixer Upper and The Housewives of Beverly Hills!.   Since I was a young girl I have been very artistic but really never had a chance to sharpen my skills.  I had always tried painting furniture but was never successful as a young lady and the only way to have learned was a trip to the library (internet was not accessible at that time).  And as a young couple straight out of high school starting life with a few kids we shared one vehicle so the chances to visiting a library was slim to none.  As my children grew older I did find some extra time on my hands and began taking classes for painting (canvas and furniture), floral arranging, dancing, cooking, etc.  I found that I really light up when it comes to the Arts.   Below was the very first piece I painted about 8 years ago.  As I started focusing on painting furniture I began collecting vintage and fine pieces because that is just what happens when you go to auctions and estate sales.  Its so very hard not to!.  Every time I found something beautiful I would buy it and now we have opened our curated and growing collection for event rentals. My Mission Statement

We as people evolve as we enter different times and chapters in our life.  I have gone from being a single mother to a grandmother, to an aunt, and to a daughter of parents and in laws of senior citizens.  I cant say I have seen it all but I have learned a lot in my 40 something years.  I have learned that there is a time for everything and that we all share the same feelings of love, laughter, disappointment, excitement, grief, loneliness, success, and celebration.  Our feelings and emotions are not different from one to another.  My mission is to help make the chapter you are celebrating the BEST it can be!  Time doesn't stand still and the time to celebrate is now!  The scripture below tells us just how time changes in our life.  That's why I believe in celebrating now and celebrating beautifully!  Let us be play a role in your next celebration!

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8New International Version (NIV)

A Time for Everything

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

Love,

Mary Elizabeth
